Chris Brown’s mom thanks fans for support

Chris Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, is speaking out for the first time since her son was sentenced for the Feb. 8 incident where he assaulted his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.“I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for your continued support. I’m sorry I wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone as this case was ongoing,” she said in a statement posted on TheChrisBrownFanClub.com. “I can now say this has been the most painful moment in my entire life, but knowing that you were still standing by Chris’ side in his time of need made this a little easier for us,” she continued. “Because of all your prayers, God brought him through. I just want to say God has never failed me and never will. All moms and dads please stand by your children and pray for their goodness each and every day.” The singer’s mother said she does not feel shame for what her 20-year-old son did. “I made a promise. I would never be ashamed of him no matter where I am or who I talk to. You see this whole thing isn’t about Chris, it’s about God,” she said. “He wants to show all of you the goodness of him through Chris. Chris will be addressing all of his fans very soon. We love you so much and so does God.”

‘I’m lonely, but I’m very busy,’ Kate says

Kate Gosselin told Larry King that like any kids whose parents have split, her children wish she and Jon could be together, but for now, "My goal is peace and we've achieved that." While Jon Gosselin has been spotted out with more than one woman since splitting from his wife, Kate Gosselin is not ready for romance. "I am not yet divorced officially," she told Larry King on CNN's Larry King Live Tuesday when asked if she feels single. As for attracting potential suitors, Gosselin was clear that she's "too busy" to date. "I'm lonely, but I'm very busy," she said stoically. Addressing how the couple's children — 9-year-old twins (Mady and Cara) and 5-year-old sextuplets (Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Joel, Alexis and Leah) — are handling the split, Gosselin said: "They understand the process [of divorce]. They're working through it the same way that Jon and I are. They're doing remarkably well." Gosselin says that like any kids whose parents have split, her children wish she and Jon could be together, but for now, "My goal is peace and we've achieved that." Still, Gosselin acknowledged that their life isn't always peaceful. She explained an encounter that resulted in the police being called to their home in Wernersville, Penn. "It was not this huge fight," she said. "It was just a thing where I wanted to be there with the kids as opposed to a babysitter. And he wasn't fond of that idea." Gosselin said she did not call 911, but rather made a "local, routine police call," and that there was no violence. "I have good days and bad days," she said. "This day was a rough day.”

Anne Heche rips her ‘lazy’ ex on ‘Letterman’

"I divorced you! I don't want to hang around with you Thursdays and Saturdays and maybe on Sunday," Anne Heche said of her ex husband. Heche, 40, asked on the "Late Show with David Letterman" when he inquired about her ex, the father of her 7-year-old son, Homer. She quickly retracted her statement, by saying, "No, no, no. That's terrible." The feud between Heche and Laffoon still continues — even six months after the two reached a settlement in their divorce, which includes monthly child support payments to Laffoon for their son.
